Tell us a little bit about yourself and what you do at Retail Group

Of course! I am a highly organized and dependable Training Manager with experience in the Casual Dining and Quick Service Restaurant Industry. I have a strong background in Barista skills, which has equipped me with the knowledge and expertise to excel in this role. My career journey started as a Barista, to Waiter, getting promoted to Store manager, then Coffee Trainer, and later Training Coordinator. Currently, I have been appointed to be a Training Manager for CDR. I’m committed to continuous learning and growth, and I’m excited about the opportunity to contribute my skills and experience to Retail Group.

What is the best part of training the team members and managers?

Seeing them grow and develop their skills, becoming more confident and effective in their roles. It's rewarding to witness their progress and know that you played a part in their success.

What are some of the challenges you encounter in your position?

Adapting to different learning styles, managing time effectively to cover all necessary learning materials, and ensuring engagement and participation from trainees.

How do you build a team of people who are willing to offer exceptional customer experiences?

By fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Providing training on customer service best practices. Communication skills and product knowledge are essential to equip team members with the tools they need to succeed.

You recently received a 10-year Loyalty Award, how do you feel about it and what keeps you loyal to Retail Group?

I feel valued and appreciated for my long-standing commitment. What keeps me loyal to Retail Group is the opportunity to continuously learn and grow with the company.

Who is Isaac outside of working hours?

I spend my time with loved ones, and I completely relax when I get the chance and find myself in another world.

What do you look forward to in your future?

Professionally, I look forward to further developing my skills and expertise in my field, taking on new challenges, and making a positive impact on my work. Personally, I look forward to spending quality time with my loved ones.

Can you advise people who would like to follow in your footsteps?

My advice would be to start by studying their journey and understanding the steps they took to achieve their goals. It is important to learn from their succession and failure. Remember to stay focused, work hard, and never be afraid to ask for help and guidance along the way.
