What’s Your Purpose?
As an Electrical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen equipment by diagnosing and repairing electrical faults. Your efforts will help minimize downtime, maintain safety standards, and support the overall success of our restaurants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain kitchen equipment (ovens, fryers, refrigerators) and plumbing systems (water supply, drainage, fixtures).
- Inspect and troubleshoot electrical issues (wiring, circuit breakers, outlets), and replace faulty components (switches, thermostats, heating elements).
- Address emergency situations, such as tripped breakers, blown fuses, burst pipes, or sewer backups.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and plumbing, including checking and servicing drains, water heaters, grease traps, and ensuring the functionality of safety mechanisms.
- Install, repair, maintain and conduct touch-ups in high-traffic areas.
- Educate kitchen staff on equipment safety and operation, and assist with tile layout and grout replacement for a polished appearance.
Qualifications:
- National Craft Certificate (NCC) in Electrical and/or Auto-Electrical Engineering or Certificate/Diploma in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of six (3) years of progressive experience.
- Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults in kitchen equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Good communication skills to interact with staff and provide safety guidance.
- Valid drivers’ license and passport essential
- Added advantage – working knowledge of other trades
